Meet the Director: Molly Arthur
Molly started Educational Pathways, Inc. in 2015, a private tutoring company through which she served the needs of many students who struggle academically. She has recently led a team in the development of Educational Pathways Academy, which opened in August of 2017. EPA is a private, Christian school registered through the Florida Department of Education as meeting all compliance standards and is qualified as a provider of all state scholarships. Through the launching of EPA, it is Molly's desire that the needs of more students with learning differences can be met.
Educational Pathways Academy is founded and directed by Molly Arthur who has 24 years of teaching and administrative experience in public and private schools. Molly holds a degree in Specific Learning Disabilities from the University of South Florida and has years of experience in various areas of special and mainstream education in both private and public schools. Molly’s vast teaching experience has exposed her to the significant struggle with reading, writing, and spelling that affects approximately twenty percent of students. These students struggle despite having high intelligence, motivation, and a quality education. This ignited a passion in her to seek additional knowledge and training in learning disabilities and in the field of Dyslexia.
John Pedraza: Art, Middle School Bible, & Tech Manager
This is Mr. Pedraza's second year at EPA. Mr. Pedraza has a B.A. degree in Digital Design & Graphics from Hodges University. He holds a temprary certification in Art Education and is working on obtaining his professional certificate. Additionally, he holds a professional level certification from the American Design Drafting Association. Mr. Pedraza is also a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired Senior Detective of the Collier County Sheriff's Office. Currently, he owns and operates Eternal Creations, LLC where he is able to pursue his passion of art and design. In addition to this, John is actively involved in his church where he serves as Technology Leader and a Youth Ministries Coordinator with his wife.
Amy Arnold : Social Studies & Science & Lower School Bible
Prior to coming to EPA last year, Mrs. Arnold had 23 years of teaching experience with Collier County Public Schools. Over those years, she has taught every subject including Language Arts, Reading, Math, and History. She spent 4 years teaching exceptional student education in reading and language arts and is Florida State Certified in Elementary Education (K-6) and Varying Exceptionalities (K-12). Additionally, she is Gifted Endorsed, which will help us keep the “great minds” of our students challenged!
TC Dolgin: Music Teacher
Mr. TC Dolgin joins EPA's Related Arts program this year as the Lower School & MIddle School Music Teacher. Mr. Dolgin is an accomlished musician and business owner. He is a multi-iinstrumentalist, composer, writer, and educator. Mr. Dolgin has written and composed scores for the theater and movies alike, as well as writtne 2 original musical dramas. He has played in a variety of bands, for theater groups, and wih a various musicians throughout the US for the past 30 years. For the past 16 years, TC has taught students through his position at a private school in Naples and also through his own music school, Groove Culture Music School in Naples. He believes in instilling in his students to be their best & to have fun while doing it!
Kristy DeRienzo: Reading Specialist & Lead Teacher
Mrs. DeRienzo brings many years of experience and knowledge to her position as EPA's Reading Specialist and Lead Teacher. She has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a dual Master's Degree in Reading and Special Education. Additionally, she holds a Reading Specialist Certification and has extensive training in the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading and spelling. Her twenty years of experience include teaching at a school dedicated to students with dyslexia in New York, Elementary Education teacher, High School Reading and Special Education teacher, and Private Reading Tutor.
Mrs. DeRienzo teaches the Structured-Literacy piece of reading instruction at EPA. Additionally, in her position as Lead Teacher, she supports teachers in all subjects with the implementation of researched-based practices and professional development.
Tracy Hartman: Lower School Language Arts & Math
Ms. Hartman joined PEA's teaching team in August 2018. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Stetson University and brings with her 13 years of teaching experience including public & private, Montessori education. For the past 8 years, Ms. Hartman has been employed by the Collier County Pubic Schools system at Calusa Park Elementary where she taught the 2nd grade ESE cluster classroom. Prior to that, she devoted 12 years of her life to being a foster parent to children, many of whom had special needs. Ms. Hartman holds her Florida Professional Educator's Certificate in Elementary Education K-6. She has a passion for innovative teaching and arts integration. Her main teaching assignments at EPA include Elementary Math & Language Arts.
In addition to being a Florida State Certified teacher in Elementary Education and Specific Learning Disabilities, Molly is a Certified Dyslexia Specialist. Her professional affiliations include the International Dyslexia Association, Learning Disabilities Association of America, and the Dyslexia Foundation.
Cyndy Gantzert: Middle School Language Arts & Math
Mrs. Gantzert graduated from University of Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and Therapeutic & Special Needs Recreation. She has over 16 years of experience in various roles in education. Most recently, Mrs. Gantzert taught Middle School Math and Science at Gulf Coast Charter Academy. Mrs. Gantzert is also currently the Head Cheerleading Coach for Varsity & Junior Varsity students at First Baptist Academy, where her daughter attends high school. Her main teaching roles are co-teaching Middle School Languagage Arts & Middle School Math.

Nancy Batelli: Administrative Manager & Lower School Instructional Support
Mrs. Batelli serves EPA as Administrative Manager & Instructional Support for Lower School. Mrs. Batelli holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with dual specialization in Industrial Organization and Clinical Counseling from Moravian College. Her past experience includes Director of Human Resources for many large corporations, managing her current family business, and over 17 years of substitute teaching for local private schools in grades PreK-8. Mrs. Batelli’s wide skill set allows her to serve the students, families, and faculty of EPA in many ways.
John Van Gilder: S.T.E.M. Instructor
Mr. Van Gilder enriches EPA's Related Arts with the implementation of S.T.E.M. (Science Technology Engineering & Math) Classes. Mr. Van Gilder spent many years as Director of Engineering in the Silicon Valley in California designing Integrated circuits for various High Tech companies. After moving to Florida, Mr. Van Gilder founded his company, KidsTek Learning. Mr. Van Gilder uses Legos to introduce students to the principles and applications of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Through building working models, students can see, touch, and experiment with science concepts and gain a deeper understanding of these principles. Mr. Van Gilder's goal is to instill a passion for learning within our students and to cultivate a better understanding of how things work. He believes that It is important for students to learn about engineering and the principles behind it.
